Dr. Irina Yermilov is a physician and researcher with expertise in using biometric, registry, and survey data to measure quality and cost. At PHAR, she oversees primary data collection studies (surveys and chart reviews), expert panels, and systematic literature reviews.
Dr. Yermilov has worked with organizations such as IMS Health and the RAND Corporation to develop risk-adjusted quality measures, research the effects of quality improvement programs on chronic diseases, and investigate pregnancy outcomes following bariatric surgery. Her work has been published in multiple high-impact journals, including JAMA and the Journal of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Yermilov earned her medical degree and master’s degree in public health from Tulane University. She also holds a master’s degree in physiology from Georgetown University.
